The salmon used at meal times was from Clare Island and it’s definitely a must try when you’re dinning there. Everything was fantastic! Transport to and from the accommodation was brilliant and organised! All the staff are dog friendly so that really helped also. So much so that she organised the meals so I could have them in my room as my doggo would be agitated! Went above and beyond! Which was greatly appreciated! Breakfast and dinner were amazing! Delicious. Roie Mc Cann the manager of the lighthouse was there throughout the stay and who was very welcoming and accommodating. Not many guests which make it all the better too! It’s a quiet, quaint place that resembles the island! Visited and stayed with my brown Labrador doggo. It’s a unique experience to say the least. Martina kindly offered us lifts when she was going and coming from the shop and the community polytunnel to get ingredients for the meals. Between us we almost sorted out the woes of the country, had a song, poetry and recitation! The pre and post dinner drinks in the sitting room is a lovely way to get to know the other guest ( maximum 10).
